I will tell you a bit about myself:

I was born in the beautiful city of Münster in Germany where I graduated from secondary school.
After a few years I moved to Hannover to study Interior Design and I graduated from the University of Applied Science and Arts in 1989.
Within the next few years I got to know a friendly German couple and they recommended Thailand as a beautiful holiday destination.
Since 1994 I went to Thailand around 20 times for 4 weeks – mostly in November and December – but sometimes in March or April.
In spring 2010 I decided to leave Germany and moved to Thailand where I was living until autumn 2019.
First in Mukdahan, then in Samut Prakan, Bangkok and Samut Prakan again.

After spending more than nine years in Thailand I had no other choice than returning to Germany in autumn 2019.
Looking back, the time of more than four years in Frankfurt am Main can be regarded as mostly pleasant – despite initial problems.
But Thailand always remained in my mind and after the approval of my small pension I decided to return to Thailand.

Right now I’m living between Jomtien and Sattahip.

I like to take photos. I always keep my eyes open to spot something different.  ‚Normal‘ things that most other people would not even look at or notice, arouse my attention and curiosity. They have their own kind of beauty, aesthetics.
I’m not a professional photographer nor do I own or use any professional equipment. All photos here are either taken with my small, nearly 10 years old digital pocket camera or with my phone.

Etwas über mich:

Ich wurde im schönen Münster geboren und habe dort Abitur gemacht.
Nach einigen Jahren bin ich nach Hannover gezogen um dort Innenarchitektur zu studieren und im Jahr 1989 habe ich an der Fachhochschule Hannover, Fachbereich Kunst und Design, mein Diplom erworben.
Innerhalb der folgenden Jahre habe ich ein nettes Ehepaar kennengelernt und die beiden haben Thailand als wunderschönes Urlaubsziel empfohlen.
Und so kam es, daß ich seit 1994 ungefähr 20 Mal für meist vier Wochen in Thailand war. Überwiegend im November oder Dezember, aber manchmal auch im März oder April.
2010 habe ich Deutschland den Rücken gekehrt und bis zum Herbst 2019 in Thailand gelebt.
Zuerst in Mukdahan, dann in Samut Prakan, Bangkok und wieder in Samut Prakan.

Zur Zeit lebe ich zwischen Jomtien und Sattahip.

Ich fotografiere gerne. Ich halte immer meine Augen auf um irgendetwas besonderes zu erhaschen. ‚Normale‘ Dinge, die die meisten Menschen weder wahrnehmen noch ansehen würden, erwecken meine Neugier und mein Interesse. Für mich haben sie ihre eigene Schönheit, Ästhetik.
Ich bin weder ein professioneller Fotograf noch besitze ich die dafür notwendige Ausrüstung. Alle Bilder hier wurden entweder mit meiner kleinen, fast 10 Jahre alten Digitalkamera oder meinem Handy aufgenommen.
