Just one day after picking up the new motorcycle I entered the restricted, NAVY controlled area to check out the nearest beach. Probably due the fact that I entered through a checkpoint on the edge of Bang Saray I did not have to provide any deposit at the small gate.

Schon einen Tag nach der Abholung meines Motorcycles fuhr ich in den von der Marine kontrollierten Bereich um mir den nächstgelegenen Strand anzusehen. Wahrscheinlich war es dem Umstand, daß ich mich von der Bang Saray am nächsten gelegenen Seite näherte, zu verdanken, daß ich an der kleinen Durchfahrt kein Dokument als Pfand hinterlegen musste.

After a relaxed ride of around 4 kilometers along the narrow road towards the shore and the beach I reached another checkpoint where I had to pay 100 Baht to gain further access.

Nachdem ich etwa vier Kilometer auf einer schmalen Straße in Richtung Küste und Strand zurüchgelegt hatte, stoppte mich der nächste Kontrollpunkt. Hier wurden dann etwa 2.50 Euro für die Weiterfahrt verlangt.

After paying the access fee I could ride on – but sometimes I stopped to have a look down to the sea.

Nachdem ich die Gebühr für den Zutritt bezahlt hatte, durfte ich meine Anfahrt fortsetzen – aber trotzdem hielt ich manchmal an um auf das unter mir liegende Meer zu sehen.

Still a bit away. But it already looked like a beach and at least much better than the so-called ‚beach‘ in Bang Saray.

Immer noch ein Stück zu fahren. Aber man kann schon auf den Strand blicken und der sieht zumindest viel besser aus als der sogenannte Strand direkt in Bang Saray.

On the day of my visit the wind was pretty strong and thus people didn’t feel the intense sun from above.

Am Tag meines Besuchs blies der Wind ziemlich stark und so fühlte man die intensive Sonneneinstrahlung vom Himmel nicht.
